Shake & Bake

Been doing this shot on and off whenever I have free time, wanted to brush up on my body mechanics animation more. I've been wanting to animate a basketball sequence for a while now, while keeping the cinematography in mind again.

Come of Age

Another one of my animations I never really got to share here on my blog.

Tried out this free tiger rig and practiced on my quadruped animation more. Also wanted to animate the face of the tiger and do a bit more facial acting with it since it had a nice setup. Thought of what better audio to use than the voice of one of the most popular tiger characters ever, Shere Khan from The Jungle Book.

Blow Your Head Off

Wanted to try out the Will character rig I bought from Long Winter Studios. I was at the cinema a few weeks back when the trailer for the movie "Kong: Skull Island" played, and I thought a line that was delivered by Samuel L. Jackson during the trailer would be perfect for the shot I wanted to animate.

Will Character Rig bought from Long Winter Studios
Glock 17 Rig by Carlos Contreras
Wooden Stool from tf3dm.com
Audio from the trailer of "Kong: Skull Island"

Here's a breakdown of my "Blow Your Head Off" shot

Block - Blocked the key poses for my animation.
Spline - Tried to get the overall feel and timing of my animation.
Polish - Adjusted and deleted movements for smoother flow of movement. Polished the timing, spacing, and feel of my animation.
Finalizing - Finally I added the facial animation and polished the mechanics more. I also modified the rig a bit as well as animating the stool to give the sense movement.

Hope you guys like it! :)

Character Animation Reel 2016

Hi guys! I've been hard at work honing my skills in animation, and now I've updated my portfolio with my latest animation reel.

I really used this opportunity to study and learn more about the craft of animation. From basic pantomime body mechanics to subtle and broad acting with dialogue. I really tried a lot of stuff that was new to me and I am very happy with the results. I know I can achieve much more and I will never stop aiming to become a better animator than when I was the day before.

Animating is truly my passion and I love doing it!  I hope you all like my work!

3D Animation Reel

Hey guys! I've been wanting to get into 3D animation ever since, it's so fun and it feels so rewarding whenever I finish my animations.

And now I've decided to study and practice the craft more. I've made an animation reel containing some of my 3D animation works. I've still got a long way to go and I hope you all like my reel!

Demo Reel 2014

UPDATE:

Just an update guys, I've deleted my old 2D demo reel and replaced it with my newer 3D animation reel. Here's a link to my blog post about my 3D animation reel:

Rb Reber 3D Animation Reel

ORIGINAL POST:

Hi guys! I just posted my demo reel!

It's a short collection of my works from 2011 - 2013. It collects some of my works from my graduation film "Chase", my personal sequential art, a short teaser that we made for a full length film called "Johnny", an episodic series called "Doon Po Sa Amin", and finally, a full length film which our studio has done, which is about the life of Saint Jean-Baptiste de La Salle, entitled "Frère" (You could check out the trailer here: Frère Trailer).

You could check it out on the Vimeo website itself to watch my demo reel in HD.

Thanks everyone! I hope you all like my work!
