Dolph Ziggler

Tried a different style again. This style is "sort of" similar to my Ni No Kuni Oliver Fan Art.

So this time I wanted to make a fan art of the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Dolph Ziggler!

The Last of Us

So I've been very busy lately doing storyboards for a teaser, for a future project, which would be the second feature film that our studio will produce. I do hope this project moves forward! And to add to that, I'm also building my portfolio! My portfolio will be online in a couple of months so that I can make sure that I showcase my best works. It will mainly have storyboards which I will also upload here on my blog, and some artworks I did in the past, so stay tuned!

I'm so happy that my storyboarding career is kicking off! My mentors liked the storyboard I did for the teaser. I'll upload the boards I did and the actual teaser when it is publicly released. I can't really say something about the project just yet. But watch out for it!

Anyway, as I've said, I've been very busy lately, but I finally finished the storyboard I've been working on, and I had some free time to do an artwork. It's been a while since I uploaded an artwork, but here it is, A The Last of Us fan art! I really can't wait for this game to be released! It comes out on the 14th of June. The game is from Naughty Dog, who are also the creators of my favorite game, Uncharted. Here is my rendition of Joel and Ellie, the protagonists of The Last of Us:

More Ni No Kuni!

Another Ni No Kuni fan art. Tried out a different style on this piece. First time practicing this style. Still having a challenging time  painting though. Practiced using brushes on an artwork again, downloaded some pencil/crayon brushes. I'm gonna go practice painting and using brushes some more.

Here's an Oliver mugshot!:

And here's my original sketch:

Ni No Kuni!

I've been spending a lot of time playing Ni No Kuni for the past few days now. This got me into watching Studio Ghibli films (can't believe I just started watching Studio Ghibli films). Studio Ghibli created some of the cutscenes for the game.

So it's Ni No Kuni in the morning, watch a Studio Ghibli film in the afternoon, then play Ni No Kuni again at night. Totally addicted to the game. So I made this fan art! Hope you all like it:

Mon Ami

A very quick sketch of Gambit from x-men. I asked my friends to give me a character and I would draw them. One friend told me to draw Gambit. I wasn't very sure  but I tried to remember what he looks like:

Marianing!

Here's a fan art I did of one of my friend's upcoming animated short entitled "Marianing". Many others posted their artworks of Mariano, who is the main character, in their own styles. Here is my version of him:

Here's my work progress on Mariano:

Originally, I intended for one of Mariano's enemies to be in the background along with him. Here is my version and work progress of the "Aswang":

This Amazing Dude

Saw The Amazing Spider-Man movie this past weekend. And it was so amazing indeed! The movie nailed the teenager interpretation of the original Spider-Man story. Although I would like for Spider-Man to be more of a "joker", just like when he joked about his weakness was small knives in the movie trailer.

Anyway, I just had to do an artwork of the "original spidey" because I was so inspired by the movie. This took me a while to draw (first time trying to draw spidey, took me three tries. I was a little confused on the blue part of his costume on his body) but here it is! The coloring style is the same as my TLoK: Tenzin artwork but without the white outline because I scanned this drawing a little bit wrong, and when I apply the effect, the white outlines turns out distorted.

TLoK: Tenzin

I recently watched the Legend of Korra Season 1 finale and it was so good! I really like the look of Tenzin's airbending. So I could not keep myself from doing this artwork inspired by him. I tried a different style of coloring and inking once again, and I really like the outcome. I hope you all like it. I can't wait for the second season of TLoK!

Batman Arkham

I recently finished Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY and it was great. For the past 2 weeks I've been playng Batman: Arkham City GOTY and I must say it supersedes its predecessor. This artwork is also a break for me since I've been working really hard on my thesis film. I'm really proud of this piece since I am still practicing and this is only the second time I practiced this kind of inking and coloring style, which I first used on my inFamous artwork. I really like how this artwork turned out. This is just basically Batman readying to throw his batarang at the Joker thug. I also used the original logo of batman as his shadow to portray some sort of a symbolism, paying respect to the original dark knight:

And here are my original sketches and the original colored version of the Joker thug:

Dark Knight

Just a quick sketch I did this morning of the dark knight using the cintiq tablet at my school. I did this as a morning warm up doodle while waiting for my class to begin. I played around with the brush tool and tried to get the shadows and highlights:

inFamous

So I thought since summer is going to end here in the Philippines, and I'm going to work on my thesis film once again, I thought I should learn, practice, and make more artworks while I can. And lately, I've been craving to play a game called inFamous, again. It's one of my favorite games, and so I've decided to make a fanart of the main hero and villain, Cole and Kessler. I practiced different ways of coloring and inking in photoshop, as well as drawing the characters in a stylized form, in what I envisioned them in my mind, in my style, to make them come to life. And I learned a lot while making this artwork. Here it is!:

Cole Progress:

Kessler Progress (I had a hard time deciding on the eyes of Kessler, in the end I decided for it to be plain grayish white since I think it looks more sinister):
