Rb Reber Layout / Previs Reel 2024

With the recent release of the latest season of Marvel Studios’ What If...?, I figured it would be the perfect time to update my reel. I’m extremely proud to share a compilation of some of my personal favorite sequences from various projects I’ve had the pleasure of working on over the years.

I feel very fortunate and humbled to have worked on these amazing projects, and am forever grateful to the people who gave me the chance to show what I can bring to the table. Huge props to the entire team and everyone involved in making these shows!

Update & Low Poly Darth Vader Model

Sorry for the very late update guys! I've been busy with work ever since I was hired and given the opportunity to live my dream as a 3D character animator! I am currently working on updating my animation reel and I have some pretty cool stuff to share, and I can't wait for you guys to see it!

So lately I finished my low poly Darth Vader model for my 3D Star Wars diorama! Here is just a screenshot directly out of Maya. This is a part of our goal setting program at the office, and is my first time modeling and texturing a human character from scratch. Painted the textures in photoshop and tried to get the "Disney Infinity" look while modeling this character. Props to my co workers for helping me out and teaching me new stuff everyday, you guys are the best!

Will do the rigging for Darth Vader next after I've finished painting the textures for the other models of my diorama. I will post my 3D diorama once I've finished it so that you guys could see the final output. Hope you like it!

Boba

Here's a study of Boba Fett's helmet. First time digipainting and trying this way of coloring. Started off with black and white and then applied colors.

Spitpaint: Robots in the Mist

Hi guys! Did this one for a facebook group called Daily Spitpaint. Basically they just post a number of topics every day and different artists who are in the group can paint any of these topics for the given time limit of 30 minutes.

This time a topic called "Robots in the mist" was posted along with others. I chose this topic and what immediately came to mind was the AT-AT robot from the Star Wars series. The AT-ATs are often remembered by many to be the gigantic four legged robots which appeared on the planet Hoth.

Anyway, here is my work. Had lots of fun doing this and playing with different brushes. This is my first spitpaint and unfortunately I went a little over 30 on this one. Well I guess I'll have to be quicker next time while still producing the quality that I want!

Hope ya'll like it!

3D Lightsaber

Just thought I'd do some 3D today. So I modeled Obi-Wan Kenobi's lightsaber! It's nice to do some 3D work every now and then. The last time I did something in 3D was when I was still doing my graduation film "Chase". Used UV mapping on the lightsaber's button.

I hope you all like it!

3D Podracer

Here's something a bit different than my usual sketch posts. Here are some 3D works that I've done for my 3D class last year. These are screenshots of the models I made in Autodesk Maya, of the famous podracer of Anakin Skywalker, and the Mos Espa Grand Arena from Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace:

Modeling Stages:

Stage 1 - Basic Form

Stage 2 - Putting details on the engine

Stage 3 - Crafting and putting details on the cockpit

Stage 4 - Final Product
