Hey guys! It's been a while since I last posted an artwork! I watched Frozen a couple of weeks ago and it was so amazing! Another "cool" animated film from Disney.
So here's Elsa the Snow Queen. Her powers are so cool! I loved every special effects I saw in the movie!
Just an update guys, I've deleted my old 2D demo reel and replaced it with my newer 3D animation reel. Here's a link to my blog post about my 3D animation reel:
It's a short collection of my works from 2011 - 2013. It collects some of my works from my graduation film "Chase", my personal sequential art, a short teaser that we made for a full length film called "Johnny", an episodic series called "Doon Po Sa Amin", and finally, a full length film which our studio has done, which is about the life of Saint Jean-Baptiste de La Salle, entitled "Frère" (You could check out the trailer here: Frère Trailer).
You could check it out on the Vimeo website itself to watch my demo reel in HD.
Hi guys! Coming off of the biggest animation festival here in the Philippines called Animahenasyon: Philippine Animation Festival 2013, I am very proud to present to you, my graduation film "Chase"!
My film was selected as a finalist in the Category H (1 Minute - 6 Minutes) Student Division.
Chase is my Graduation Film from De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde School of Design and Arts. It is about a Treasure Hunter running away from a mad Pirate bent on taking the treasure which the Treasure Hunter is carrying. Along their journey, both men traverse the dangerous obstacles of the desert ruins, such as destroyed walls, broken pillars, unstable structures and much more.
I used 2D Traditional Animation and 3D Backgrounds. Chase was made in a year and a half, and was completed in December of 2012.
You could check it out on the Vimeo website itself to watch my film in HD.
Hi guys! I just came back from the Animahenasyon: Philippine Animation Festival 2013 in Iloilo City. It is the biggest Animation Festival here in the Philippines. Sadly I didn't win, but overall, it was such an amazing experience!
Even though I didn’t win my category in Animahenasyon this year, I’m still thankful that I was picked as a finalist. This is my second time being a finalist and it was such a wonderful experience attending all 4 days of the event. I learned a lot from the talks and had lots of fun during my stay in Iloilo.
I just want to thank my professors who taught me everything I know today, and to my friends who supported me in making my film. Thank you also to my mom and of course to God.
Thank you everyone! There’s always a next time. (Maybe next year?) :D
My graduation film "Chase" is going to Animahenasyon 2013!
My short film entitled Chase was chosen as an official finalist for Animahenasyon: Philippine Animation Festival 2013. Animahenasyon is the biggest Animation Festival here in the Philippines. I was a part of a group back in 2011 and we were finalists in one category of the competition. Now as an individual, I entered my film and I was very lucky enough for it to be picked!
I never really got to post about the full length animated film our studio (ToonBro Animation Studio) has produced. It's entitled Frère and it is a story about Saint Jean-Baptiste de La Salle's journey in life.
I did a lot of things in this project (my name was even showed a couple of times in the ending credits) and I am very proud of this film. I've learned a lot of things from my professors and friends whom I had the privilege of working with.
I would post more about this film when I could, but for now, here is a bit of an old trailer of the film. Back when it was still entitled De La Salle - The Patron Saint of Teachers:
It was such a wonderful experience and now we are working on a new project but this time, it is about Saint Benilde Romancon's life. We're kinda really busy with that at the moment. We're doing pre-production right now.
Because of work I haven't really gotten back to fixing my portfolio. But it's nearly finished and I am hoping that it will be online later this year.
*ToonBro Animation Studio is under De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde, School of Design and Arts
I was supposed to post this sequential on my portfolio website but I decided not to include it anymore. So I thought I might as well post it here on my blog! I hope you all like it!:
