Bobby Bowles

This is my character Bobby Bowles. He is the main character of the story that I recently made. He is in the same universe with my previous artwork, The Detective, who'm I now named Detective Walter Jones.

Bobby Bowles is your regular teenage nerd who gains the amazing power of super strength:

Original sketch of Bobby Bowles:

My story is all about a unique number of individuals evolving into more advanced beings and gaining powers beyond their imagination. And they band together to fight the outbreak of a virus that causes dead people to return to life. I wont go into details yet, but to summarize my story, it's about Superheroes vs Zombies. If I have the time, I would love to make my story into a comic, aiming for a "not-so-dark-but-still-colorful" look.

Quick Animation Doodle

First time uploading an animation! This is my quick animation doodle for the night. Just wanted to animate something before I go to bed. I've also been watching a lot of Ben 10 lately. It lags on the first few frames, and I have know idea why:

Mon Ami

A very quick sketch of Gambit from x-men. I asked my friends to give me a character and I would draw them. One friend told me to draw Gambit. I wasn't very sure  but I tried to remember what he looks like:

Basketball Gestures

It's been a while since I last sketched. Went back to basics and did some gesture drawings of basketball players:

Sat in front of the computer. Googled NBA. Sketched.

Here's a rendered version of the above gesture:

The Detective

I've been on an uploading hiatus recently because I've been so busy doing clean-ups of the animations for my short film. I needed a break so I practiced designing my own character. This is what I came up with. I call him "The Detective":

The Detective is a kind hearted police/detective who helps anyone in need. He is very casual, he wears only plain shirts and jeans, along with his brown loafers. I think I was inspired to do a police officer character because I've been watching the TV show Dexter lately, and I've been playing the game L.A. Noire again. (Both have detectives in them) If I ever have the time after I finish my current short film, I would like to make another animated short in the future and I would love to design new characters and write a new story. I can see me animating The Detective along with other characters I would design. I can even see him voiced by the guy who voices Officer Joe Swanson in the TV Series, Family Guy. I think that voice would be a great fit for The Detective.

Marianing!

Here's a fan art I did of one of my friend's upcoming animated short entitled "Marianing". Many others posted their artworks of Mariano, who is the main character, in their own styles. Here is my version of him:

Here's my work progress on Mariano:

Originally, I intended for one of Mariano's enemies to be in the background along with him. Here is my version and work progress of the "Aswang":

This Amazing Dude

Saw The Amazing Spider-Man movie this past weekend. And it was so amazing indeed! The movie nailed the teenager interpretation of the original Spider-Man story. Although I would like for Spider-Man to be more of a "joker", just like when he joked about his weakness was small knives in the movie trailer.

Anyway, I just had to do an artwork of the "original spidey" because I was so inspired by the movie. This took me a while to draw (first time trying to draw spidey, took me three tries. I was a little confused on the blue part of his costume on his body) but here it is! The coloring style is the same as my TLoK: Tenzin artwork but without the white outline because I scanned this drawing a little bit wrong, and when I apply the effect, the white outlines turns out distorted.
